Interested in serving because:
Brown has given me so much: a great education, continuing opportunities to learn and grow, and countless, enduring friendships, not only among classmates, but also among alumni of every generation and quarter. From my volunteer roles, I know firsthand the great benefits students and alumni enjoy through their ties to Brown and to each other. I am excited about the opportunities to build on those foundations and, if elected, to lead the BAA in delivering to Brown’s alumni the programs and initiatives that meet their needs and enrich their lives.

Interested in serving because:
Being involved in Brown alumni activities has been extremely rewarding. I enjoy meeting and working with so many talented
alumni to help broaden alumni connections with Brown. When called upon to head the Association of Class Leaders, I initiated a
semi-annual newsletter to help class leaders learn about best practices, alumni activities and tools available to assist them in engaging their classmates in both non-reunion and reunion activities. If elected to serve as president-elect of the BAA, I look forward to continuing to serve fellow alumni by fostering both engagement and the delivery of alumni resources.

Currently co-president of the Class of 1981, Clare chaired her 25th Reunion and is actively planning her 30th Reunion, serving also on the reunion gift committee. She is a member of the Brown Club of Fairfield County (director 1993 to 1995) and has hosted numerous faculty and student events. In addition, Clare interviews Brown applicants, tirelessly advocating the value of a Brown education.
Interested in serving because:
Brown gave me the tools and self-confidence to reinvent myself continuously and to be active in the communities that are important to me. Through the Brown curriculum, I was able to explore different interests which have mapped my career path from consulting to investment banking to arts management and now as an apparel manufacturer. Currently, my two older boys are at Brown, reaping the benefits of that same curriculum. I would be honored to serve as treasurer of the BAA to ensure that the organization manages its finances well and helps Brown continue to excel in the 21st century.

Brown people can often spot each other because of a characteristically high level of self-awareness and original thinking. At
Brown, the friction of ideas evolves young minds, much as a grain of sand helps polish a pearl. I hope to help Brown continue
to produce pearl after pearl by providing leadership and enthusiasm for a body of engaged alumni. Serving as secretary of the
BAA Board of Governors is the best way I can think of to contribute my own skills, enthusiasm, and heart to serving Brown, its
alumni, and students. It’s as simple, but as important in function, as the grain of sand that polishes the pearl.
